Heather Pang
LMSW, CSW-Intern
Heather Pang, LMSW, CSW-Intern, is a part of the outpatient team at Thrive Wellness and facilitates an ACT group in the OCD program. She is currently working toward becoming a rostered provider for Child Parent Psychotherapy.
In her undergraduate program, Heather received her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in addictions treatment from University of Nevada, Reno. She received her Master of Social Work degree in 2023. Prior to Thrive Wellness, Heather worked in the healthcare field as a medical assistant and care aid for a local hospital. She also served as a community health worker in Washoe County's COVID Emergency Response Team during the pandemic. Heather has experience in facilitating co-occurring disorder therapy groups for adults and in case management for family medicine. She has experience working with veteran, first-generation, AAPI, and LGBTQIA+ communities. Heather has a passion for working with children, families and young adults and specializes in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, and depression. Heather believes in a cultural and trauma informed approach when serving community members. She enjoys utilizing play, art, DBT, child-parent psychotherapy in treatment and applies a person centered approach and integrated modalities to best serve her clients.
In her free time, Heather can be found outside hiking, paddle boarding or camping. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets, watching reality tv, cooking, and crafting.
